Is the mind of a newborn a blank slate or tabula rasa, awaiting stimuli and input from the world to obtain structure and form? Or are we born with a pre-formed structure which influences how we experience the world?
Carl Jung, the Swiss psychologist, proposed that the human mind, or psyche, is not exclusively the product of personal experience, but rather contains elements which are pre-personal, or transpersonal, and common to all. We are therefore born with a structure in place that will influence our thoughts and behaviours. He called these elements the archetypes.
This concept that we are all born with a structure in place, can be VERY powerful when used in branding. I have been incredibly interested in learning all about this over the last 9 years, almost obsessively and now have a process in place that we have been taking clients through that we call our Brandonian process.
Let me introduce you to each of the archetypes in this video I created here.
If you are interested in wanting to learn how to use the Brandonian brand strategy system please get in touch, we are here to help.
